Although the BJT is less popular than the JLPT, it has been held since 1996 and there are no fewer than 9,000 test-takers all over the world. (It seems to be me that the BJT is a lot more difficult than the JLPT, so I guess 'minor' may not be the right word as it gives the readers an impression that the BJT is less important or eaiser.)

The BJT costs a lot and the institute would have to cover a loss with its profit scraped up by Kanji test if it held the BJT.
Thus it may never offer the BJT.
