Riri_geragera : New kid..yuck ! (7)

This Friday was my 1st day as an official new member at my new work place. I supposed to start it at October 1, but it was Idul Fitri holiday.

I hate being a "new kid". Is seems like everybody is looking at me as if i'm somekind of alien. Guess they're thinking 「who the heck is this weirdo?」

I hate when i have to introduce myself to the whole hospital. I bet behind their smile they're making their 1st judgement of what i'm going to be..everyone's sweetheart or public enemy.

Ooookay, i think i'm just being too negative.
But the number one thing that i hate is, everybody especially my seniors is taking advantages from my presence.

They replaced their names on the night shift schedule board with mine. They made me stay for 24 hours at the ER on the day before Idul Fitri and they made me did that again on October 3.

I can take the reason if they're being sick. But yesterday they put notes on the board. It sounded like "oh, i can't do the night shift on October 5" or "i don't know who's going to take over my place on October 26, but i definitely can't". Whaaaaat..so immature, yuck !!

No way they can make me spend my Sunday at the ER !
I only get 1 day every week to have a rest, no way they're going to take it away from me. While my contract said that my work schedule is Monday - Saturday 8 am - 4 pm. Over my dead body pals !!

Anyway..i'm listening to this..such a great song to listen in the morning brezze.

http://jp.youtube.com/watch?v=RtXQ31F1A-k

I lllooove this song, lllooove Kyuu chan..love his voice, love his performance.
It goes with every occasion, every situation, every condition..what a cheering song c(^o~)v

Oh oh i have to take a bath now..i feel so dirty..my hair smells..yuck (^^;)

By the way..aren't you hate being a new kid?

Riri_geragera : Is it wrong to look young? (5)

There are two types of reaction which are usually addressed to me.
The first is; “Oh, so you’re the doctor? I’m sorry I didn’t know. I thought you were a college student or just a member of other patient’s family. You look so young.”
I guess what they really meant is..”You’re absolutely don’t look like a doctor” or “A doctor at this age, probably won’t know what she’s going to do”.

The second is; “What? So you’re a doctor? Really? You don’t look like one.”
What the…#@%$

The first one, usually were said by the patient, patient’s family or patient’s friends. It happened so often. Most of them thought that I was a college student. In some cases they even thought that I was a high school student!? Seriously! I’m not that young. Those reactions were said because they already met me without the doctor suit outside the examination ward, before they underwent the examination. As long as they treated me kind enough, then it’s okay with me. But sometimes, they underestimated me or giving me orders, because they thought I was some kind of nurse. And after they knew that I was the person who was going to treat them..then they kind of embarrassed. Yay people, please...that’s why we have the “don’t judge a book by it’s cover” phrase.

The second one, usually were said by the people who just knew me for a while. They never expected that I’m a doctor. Because outside my work place, I don’t dress like a doctor, I don’t act like one too. They said I looked to young to be a doctor and I was way too funny for a doctor (that was because most of the time, while I was chatting with my friends, I tend to do jokes or humorous comments).

Hmmm..can’t doctors look young? Shall doctors wear a regular “not cool” outfit? Or shall doctors wear thick glasses and be bald? Is it awkward to see a comedian doctor?
I’m not sure how to feel. Should I feel pleased for having a young look? Or should I feel bad because there are always circumstances that people may underestimate my abilities?

But I surely flattered whenever people mistaken me as the younger daughter of my family. As a matter a fact, I’m the eldest of three children and there’s a 5 years gap between me and my sister. Yup..my sister’s always get a little bit upset when people think that she’s older than me..hahahahaha d(>o<)b

You probably will have the same thoughts if you see me face to face ^o^
Do you prefer to be treated by a “young” doctor or is it the opposite?

PS : Please excuse my mess up grammar.
