Vacation

My classes are out for winter vacation now.
I don't have any jobs, but I have a lot of things to do.
I wrote New Year's cards, I've cleaned my house, I'm going to make "osechi", or New Year's dish...
I'm busy.
But I try to have some time to read books or watch DVDs too.

Well, now I have to walk my dogs and clean the entrance, wax the floor, go shopping and do some errands.
(Oh, I have a lot of things to do today too!)
After that, I'm going to watch DVDs.
(I hope I have the time.)

What are you going to do today?
Are you busy?

Your studies seem to be going well. A few confusing grammatical tense shifts, but overall good.

People give out new years cards in Japan?

Thank youvery much.
Traditionaly, yes.
We wrote New Year's card(we call it "nengajo") and sent them to our friends, bosses, relatives, etc.
But I heard many young people don't wrote cards, they just send e-mail and say "Happy New Year!".
