My Kids Are Monitoring The Caterpillars.

PUBLIC_FLAG_#{@journal.pf_int} RSS feed of hiroyuki's latest journal entries May 26th 2009 22:52
My kids took some caterpillars in order to monitor them in the bin.
Those are green big ones.
I think those will be the Papilio machaons.
They want to know how those change from caterpillars to butterflies.
It reminds me when I was a child.
I did completely same thing.
Now, some caterpillars became chrysalis.
They are surprised to see those.
I hope those will be the butterflies and they will know how those change.

I did that for mealworms in 3rd grade. It was disgusting because I don't like worms. Haha.

I hope your kids get to see the butterfly emerge out of the cocoon! I think there are lots of lessons that can be learnt just by watching the butterfly emerging out of the cocoon.
