Excellent methods of learning languages

I've studied hard to learn English. And I found several good methods.
Let me introduce some of them.

1.Reading erotica.
I read English erotica when I was a high school student.
I bought the erotica book one day, and I finished reading it until the end of the day. I could read the book very fast. Since that time, my reading skill had improved.
I was young and I was interested in sexual things. That made me concentrate on reading it. And through doing it, I could understand how to read books fast.
I recommend this method to especially young readers.

2. Using electronic dictionary's function
When I was a college student, I was using a small electronic dictionary of Sony. It can memorize the words I consulted.
I repeatedly checked the words if I remembered them correctly.
That helped me improve the vocabulary.

3. Using good websites
There are plenty of websites that can help your learning.
My favorites are Lang-8, Yappr, and TED.com. I saw movies on Yappr and TED.com for listening training. It is not only effective in learning the language but interesting itself.
I've tried Omegle.com where you can chat with a strangers.
The conversation depends on the person you talk with. You might feel embarassed when you meet weird people.
It's fun, anyway.
Besides that, I am taking the lessons of online English school. It's very reasonable because all tutors are phillipino and lessons are offered by Skype.
It's a good service for improving speaking skills.

4. Chatting with strangers in a bar.
There is a bar where many foreigners come near my room. I sometimes visit there and chat with foreigners in English.
It's fun to meet new people.

5. Having a foreign boyfriend/girlfriend.
I haven't done this yet. But they say having a foreign partner is the best way to be fluent in th language.
I want to try this in the future.

I hope to know other studying methods that are effective to you.
Do you have any good way to learn the languages?

Other methods: Watch lots of English TV

Thank you for the correction, Lexi.

I agree that watching TV is a good method.
But you know what?
I don't have TV now!
I threw it away because I had spent too much time watching the programs.

Hi, Masa-san.

I'll recommend you No.5 from my experience.
I'll try No.4 in the near future.

Good job, Masa-san. What I'm doping right now to learn Japanese are:

1. Rosetta Stone (very good when it comes to expanding your vocabulary)
2. Audio books (not time consuming since I listen to it while driving)
3. Watching movies/dramas (an very entertaining way of learning the language)
4. Lang-8 (isn't it obvious?)
5. Translating songs (for me it works since I love music)

>arare-san,
Oh, you experienced No.5 method?
I want to know more about that.
Would you write the diary about it? :)

>Phil-san,
I've been interested in listening to audiobooks. I will try that.
I haven't known Rosetta Stone. But it seems very good.
I will try the free trial version of it first because it's expensive for me.
Thank you for sharing the good methods!

Thank you for the recommendation!
Do the techniques on this book work well?
If they do, I will try to master them!
