I have studied at community collage for 4 semesters, but my English ability is still very poor. I am so confused that I got high scores in the quiz. However, my speaking and listening abilities are really poor. What do I do on the study? I studied the contents very detail and looked up all the vocaburies that I have known or unknown. I read news and textbooks. I just don't understand why all the words don't stay at my brain when I do conversation and listen to the radio ,people and TV.

If you don't already, try to think in English. It helps me when I learn Finnish. :) You can sing English songs, too.

Naeniwyn, thank you very much. I'm completely agree that I need to think in English, but I have tried it for some time. Therefore, I look up English dictionary instead of Chinese-English dictionary. However, I still have to look up Chinese-English dictionary at the same time because I cann't make entirely sence on the English explanations. Anyway, I still much appreciate it. I still will try it again and again even though I'm so frustrated on it.
