I've just written this writing to someone who wants to learn Korean.
And I want to know the wrong parts that should be corrected.
I expect your kind corrections and comments! XD Thank you.!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello, I'm a native Korean and living in Korea as well.
I think it'll be effective to combine 3 or 4 ways for learning Korean(or any other languages)

1. Basic patterns of Korean letter.
As you know, consonants and vowels are combined together into syllable blocks in Korean.
such as
ㅇ+ㅓ=어, ['uh' or 'eo' ] / ㅁ+ㅓ=머, [meo] / ㄴ+ㅣ=니, [ni]
===>어머니[uh-meo-ni] means 'mother'.

ㅇ+ㅓ+ㄴ=언 [eon] / ㄴ+ㅣ=니 [ni]
===>언니 [eon-ni] means 'elder sister' ....and so on.

The principles of Korean letters are quite simple(except several exceptions), So if you master the patterns of Korean letters, you'll be able to read most of Korean letters.

2. Listening to the Korean speaking as much as you can, and try to pronounce the words like the native speaker.
It's difficult to pronounce the words naturally only by practicing the letter.
There are also many pronunciation rules in Korean such as liaison..

I think it'll be helpful to listen to Korean TV programs as another person mentioned above. But it might be difficult at first. The storybooks or fairy tales with tape or CD will be easier in the beginning.

3. Acquaint and memorize many words.Every languages are the combinations of each words and some rules in any case.

4. If you master Korean to some basic degree, you can write the diary in this site.
I also write the diary in English thesedays, and other foreign people's corrections are really helpful to me.

If you have any question about Korean language, you can ask for my help anytime.
Good luck to you! :D

Every languages: The noun following "every" should be in singular form, not plural.

I'm learning the Korean alphabet right now... Maybe I can ask for your help!

I always confuse the(?) usage of definite article 'The' you know. ;o;
When I sholud use 'the' and when should not....??
I know that I should use 'the' before the(?) noun which is written above.
But there are some exceptions, right?
I'm totally confused ToT..........

First of all, "most of": should be used in such a pattern: 1. most of the (noun) 2. most (noun)s

As for usage of "the", if it is a general noun, which means you are not referring to a specific object, then you should not put "the" in front, and you should use the noun in plural form. That's what I think!

For example:
1. "I want to find the book." You already know the exact book you want to find
2. "I want to find books." You know you want books, maybe you have a certain criteria, but you do not know the EXACT book you are looking for

3. "I write diaries." You write a type of thing called "diary"
4. "I wrote the diary." Maybe somebody found a diary book and asked who wrote it and you say it was you. In this case, there is the EXACT and specific diary and youare talking about it.

Also,
If you say "Listen to the Korean speak." and I will ask "Which Korean?" because I would be expecting a specific person you are referring to.

However, I used "the Korean alphabet" because there are many types of alphabet and here we are talking specifically about the KOREAN alphabet.

Did I help? I hope I did!
