Sites to practice Kanji
Hi! Long time(?) no see.
I couldn't submit my journal because I had a lot to do.
I said that I show you some useful sites to practice Kanji.
So, I write about that.
In this journal, first, I'll introduce some sites to get "kanji practice sheets".
Next, I mention sites to find the stroke order.
It's monotonous but important to practice Kanji.
So, I will not take up the way to memorize kanji easily using stories or images in this journal.
I'll write it in the future.
The first site I want to introduce is Yedial School's web site.
■Yedial School URL : http://www.yedialschool.com/
In this site, You can get "kanji practice-sheets" for elementary school first grade students.
On the sheets, there are radicals, pronounces(Japanese and chinese ways), compound words, and instructive sentences.
So, the sheets make you concentrate on practice kanji not consult books or dictionaries.
I think its a good time saver for you.
<how to download them>
You can find "独自教材" in left side menu.
(the third menu from the bottom. ←Is it correct way to explain?)
Click it, then You'll find some sheets for school life.
"kanji practice sheets" is the bottom one that are indicated 6.6MB 小学一年で習う漢字.Click "ダウンロード" to get that sheets.
Next one is SUNFLOWER.
■STUDY SUPPORT SITE SUNFLOWER URL:http://www.geocities.jp/mutasanjp/index.html
You can also get PDFs to practice kanji not only for first grade students but all elementary students.
When you finish Yedial Scool's sheets or you are confident on your Kanji-skill, you have to use this site's PDFs.
The level is higher than Yedial Scool's one.
<how to get them>
You can see "学習プリント window" on the left side of the site.
Then click "こくご" or "国語" buttons, you'll see the lists of practice sheets and you can download them.
In Japan, There are four or five types of text books for elementary school students.
"K","M", and "T" on this site are indicated the textbook types.
So don't mind them and select one of them.
Finally, I mention about "KAKIJYUN"
■KAKIJYUN URL http://kakijun.main.jp/
In this site, you can watch the stroke orders of almost all kanji you should learn in GIF animation.
I think stroke orders are really important and helpful to memorize kanji. (I wrote the reason in past journals.)
When you are beginner to learn Japanese, it's difficult to memorize them. So, this site are useful.
<How to use this site>
You can find a green colored window with "漢字検索"button.
Put the kanji you want to know the stroke order of and click the button.
You can find not only the order but also other information about the kanji.
but site design is complex to read and it's too much for beginner.
It may be useful for experienced learners.
Other way to look up the stroke order is video podcasts.
If you installed itunes on your PC or MAC, EMORY University's podcasts are really helpful.
