It's been more than 2 months since I left from "Lang-8".
FinalIy come back!!

There was a variety of thing during these 2 months.
My husband's mother was hospitalized.
And then my 92 year old grand father had a trafic accident and broke his arm yesterday.

Of course good things happened too.
My daughter graduated the kindergarten and entered the elementary school.
I succeeded on the diet! (a little bit,though)
I spent my holiday (called "the golden week" in Japan) at my home town, Nagano with my family.

This is a picture of my home town.
Rape blossoms are so beautiful in this season.

There is a game my kids were told at kindergarten.
It is called "じゃんけん列車” means rock-paper-sissors train.
In the game, kids pretend to be trains, singing a song and run.
when the song finish, each kid does "rock-paper-sissors" with other kid around.
The loser has to connect the winner train.
And then they repeat it over and over.
The train becomes a looong train at the end.

I tryed to translate the song into Japanese.
But It doesn't sound good.
So I'm glad if you give me some advice and ideas.

The song in Japanese is this.

貨物列車（かもつれっしゃ）　シュッシュッシュッ
急げ急げ　シュッシュッシュッ
今度の駅で止まるんだ
重い荷物(貨物)　ガッシャーン

My translation is this.

We are little freight trains. Toot toot toot.
Hurry up! Hurry up! Toot toot toot.
We are going to stop the next station.
Oh, what a heavy load! (sound of freight car's connecting)

But the last two sentence don't fit the song.
I need 1 or 2 wards more for each sentence.
And I don't know how to express the sound of freight car's connecting.

Of course you can change my translations.
I hope you give me many and interestig ideas!

I went Hiburikamakura held at kakunodate in Akita (northern part of Japan) where I live.
Hiburikamakura is a traditional festival to pray for good health and safe homes and to thank for a rich harvest.
Participants hold ropes tied to empty bales made of straw,
and ignite the bales, then they whirl the bales above their heads.
You can see many glorious fire whirls in the darkness.

Since I heard that anybody who wanted to could go in for it, I decided to try it.
Before starting whirling, I was a little bit scared.
But once I started, It was much easier than I expected.
So I got elated and whirled faster.

On the way back home, my husband found my hair got burned.(T_T)
And what's more, we all got awful stinky because of the smoke!
Well, I became a real smoked "SAKANA"!

日本では、春は卒業と転勤の季節です。
たくさんの人がこの季節に引越しをします。

I am living in an apartment.
Four families are living in same building.
This Spring, three families are moving out except us.
私はアパートに住んでいます。
4つの家族が同じ建物に住んでいます。
この春、私達以外の三家族が引越して行くことになりました。

My kids played with their kids around the apartment almost everyday during the summer.
We even traveled with one of the family　several times.
うちの子供たちは、引越していってしまう子供達と夏になるとアパートの周りで毎日のように遊んでもらいました。
そのうちの一家族とは何回か旅行にも行きました。

They were very nice people and I'm going to miss them a lot.
みんなとってもいい人たちでした。
寂しいな(;_:)

My daughter is graduating kindergarten next month.
I decided to wear kimono on the graduation ceremony.
It's hard to wear kimono by myself even if I'm Japanese.
So I have to practice to wear kimono before the day of the ceremony.

I took more than 30minutes to wear and got sweat!
And also it's hard to move.
I realized why Japanese people quit wearing kimono.
It' very beautiful, but very troublesome.

But still, I like kimono.
I want to keep trying to wear kimono.
This is a picture of me in kimono beside dolls displayed for
"Hinamatsuri" the Girl's Festival day at my friend's house.
"Hinamatsuri" is coming on the 3rd of March.

He discarded almost all materials which he was given by his parents
and then started his journey to the north.
He got over a lot of troubles and got to Alaska somehow in 2years.
But the nature of Alaska was much harsher than he expected
(or maybe as he expected), he made a small but fatal mistake
unfortunately and died.

I don't know whether his action was good or bad.
I think he was naive and immature, so that he sought "perfect".
But he was struggling to see who he was and what around him was.
I think it wouldn't have been a waste if he had been alive.
He would have been able to share many things with people around
him.

Now, I'm reading the book of "Into the wild".
It means that was not a waste at all even if he was dead.

"MOMO-chan(one of her friend in the kindergarten) said she wanted
be a boy."
I asked why.
"she said she wanted to propose to get married."my daugher replied.
"But women can propose,too."
"Really!?"

Then my 4-year-old son quietly listening our conversation shouted out suddenly.
"What kind of pose is the propose!?"
He must have been thinking that It was a kind of pose for superhero's
transforming or something.
"Tell me what pose the propose is,please!!"He kept shouting and
stomping.
What makes him believe "propose"must be such a super-duper pose?

So I had to take long time to explain that "propose" was not a kind of superhero's pose and what "propose" was,
and what getting married was.
It is hard to convince 4-year-old boy.
