A Cultural Festival 文化祭に行きました

Today I went to see "Bunkasai", which was held by students who are learning Japanese in University of Michigan. "Bunkasai" (文化祭)is a cultural festival. They tried to show Japanese traditional culture. I saw their shuji (習字), kendo (剣道), ocha(お茶), and odori (踊り) etc. They also offered Japanese food such as okonomiyaki, somen, ozouni and dango etc.
I came to see this festival because my language exchange partner, George, told me about it. I tried to find him, but was not able to. Instead of finding him, I found many girls with yukata. They sang Japanese songs. I took many pictures because they were so beautiful. After their songs, I saw George on the stage. He started singing a Japanese song, sakura, and then I thought it was good chance to take his picture. However, my digital camera didn't work due to the battery death. I feel very sorry to him.

I feel very bad about it.
They also offered us/to the people Japanese food such as okonomiyaki, somen, ozouni and dango etc. You can add it, just to make the sentence more natural!
I tried to find him there, but I was not able to.
