"anesannyoubo(wife who is older than her husband)" is woman who is senior to her husband by one academic year or more than.
According to the examination of MHLW of Japan in fiscal year 2005, 28-year-old or less woman have a much higher rate of anesannyoubo than 35-year-old or more woman.
And, the rate of anesannyoubo seems to have increased as the overall figure every year.
There is a common saying in Japan that ”年上の女房は金の草鞋をはいてでも探せ”

The wife who is older than her husband is highly appreciated in Japan, because she pay close attention to everything.
Let walks and search the wife who is older than her husband everywhere by putting on "Straw sandals of iron" that doesn't rub even though walking long distance.

Let's search with a bell and a drum, and marry the woman who is seven years older than we are.
鉦や太鼓で探せ(look for ... for all one is worth)
