The Future of the Auto Industry

As I am an associate of an automobile corporation, I am concerned about the future of my company. One of the major issues of the auto industry is, as you already know, the development of new cars to replace gasoline cars. Sooner or later, the production of crude oil will hit its peak and after that, it will only keep declining. In the industry, hybrid cars are considered to be a bridge, which connects the transformation from the era of gasoline cars to the era of electric cars. Of course, other alternative energy-driven cars are already available in the market. However, the dissemination of those cars vary depending upon each country because of their domestic factors. Diesel cars are currently popular in some European countries, and bio-ethanol cars are prevalent in Brazil. However, the majority of the people in the auto industry share the consensus that electric cars will be the the central player in the next generation. Currently, two types of electric cars are developed by auto makers. One is the so-called "plug-in", and the other is a fuel-cell car. Both have pros and cons and at this moment, so no one knows which technology will prevail in the next generation. I wish my company could stay competitive in the race of the development of the new energy sourced-cars!
