A lot of books

I bought a lot of Japanese books in Vancouver.
I got 20 books!
Most of books are novels and some books are for business.
I could get a lot of interesting books.

I enjoyed looking for them for 3 hours.
I was very happy while I was searching for books.

I'm also keep reading a English book(HOLLES).
I have read 170 pages up till now. The story is getting interesting.

You could condense the first two sentences by saying
"I bought 20 Japanese books today (in Vancouver)" It is
useless to say you bought a lot and then to specify the
number of books you bought.

"I enjoyed looking for them for 3 hours" is ok but the same preposition twice does sound a little repetitive so maybe the sentence requires a little bit of rewording. " I had 3 hours of pleasure searching for these books" "I could have 3 fun hours looking for these books" etc, etc. There are many more possibilities but yours is in no way wrong.

Also if you say "I enjoyed looking for them for 3 hours" there is no reason to
state in the next sentence, "I was very happy" as that is already assumed.

I might be wrong but I have a hunch that the english book you are reading is called Holes.

You can also combine the last two into a nice sentence saying "In the 170 pages I have read, the story is very interesting." You could keep it your way as well but till is short for until so you should at least write until.

The more I read it though just erase "up until now" and say "Currently I am on page 170" or something like that.

Holes is a good book, please enjoy it.

  • I have read 170 pages up 'til now. (I would use 'til in formal writing or speech, but in casual writing and speech I often use this abbreviation of 'until')

Ahh, Holes! By Louis Sachar, right? Aww, that's a good book! If you haven't seen it already, when you are finished the book you should go see the movie! The movie was also very good, I thought. Sometimes when books are adapted to film it doesn't turn out so well, but this is a good book to film adaptation.

Hello, アンディー!
Yes, it is. The book is used a easy English, however the story is very interesting!
It's nearly finished!
I think I watch the movie after I read it. Thanks.)

Favorite book?

Hmm...I don't think I ever have just one favorite of anything. Off the top of my head, a few of my favorite books are:

Neuromancer by William Gibson
The Good Earth by Pearl S. Buck
Interview with a Vampire / The Vampire Lestat by Anne Rice
Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card

I think the last (fictional) book I read was the Watchmen graphic novel by Alan Moore. Now I'm looking forward to the movie!

These days, I mostly read nonfiction...right now, I'm reading A Dictionary of Basic Japanese Sentence Patterns... :O

I saw "Interview with a Vampire" by the movie.
It was good one.:)

I want to read your favorite books someday, because it's too difficut for me now.
