The contents of that letter are like these. As a Korean nation, you have to go to military in certain month. If you don’t want to go army that time, you have to prove you are a college student or you have family dependents.

As a Korean man, I underwent military.
Why I write about military? Because Military manpower administration sent me a notice of reserve force training.
Korean men are obliged to complete 2 year mandatory service, and after that time are have to rserves additional 8 years.

From coming Wednesday to Friday, I will go Su-won air field. I don’t know what I have to do in there. Why I have to do reserve force training? I think that 2 years mandatory period is enough. I always pay taxes and had military service but I don’t know well what country give to me.


Anyway, reserve force training is officially obligation of Korean nation. That means If I change my viewpoint, it is a kind of break.
I can release my stresses which piled during workdays.

I think that internet in very useful thing.
By using the internet, I can download American drama and find English novel.
If I don’t use internet I have to expensive fee to watch americandrama and I can’t find some books written in English.

By using Internet, people can communicate with one another. For example Skype and Vibe. Internet is kind of load and filed. People gather information on internet and get together at bulletin board system.

With using internet people’s life changed more conveniently, but it has side effects. Sometimes it shows us interesting and sensational news title on site, so people spent their time to read useless news.

Thus, When I search something in internet, I limit internet using time myself. But sometimes when I noticed I was reading useless articles or funny things, it already passed 30 minutes.

In Korea, there are many kinds of internet system. For example, adsl,vdsl,wibro,wi-fi,3G,4G…etc and the same, there are many kinds of tariff system. For instance, flat-sum system, meter-rate system and the combination of flat-sum and meter-rate system.

I use wibro internet system. It is a kind of next generation transmission system. Korean researchers developed that system but most of telephone and internet service companies denied to apply that system. Thus that system almost died out.

I choose combination of flat-sum and meter-rate system. This tariff system contract with telephone company and me is this way.
I can use internet 50 gigabyte for 20,000 won and If I exceed that capacity I have to pay 10 won for 1 megabyte.

Anyway, I used up 50 gigabyte so I have to pay extra money. 50 gigabyte is huge capacity, I think that someone who read this writing maybe wonder how I used up that capacity.
These days, I downloaded many English drama and uploaded that to my friend. (I don’t sure upload is right word, do I use send or transmit ? what word is natural?)

Whenever I write something in English, I soon go off on a tangent. But It dose not matter.

Learning foreign language is interesting to me. And sometimes I think about how to study foreign language.
About six month ago, I decide to study English. Not for the score, for the master English.

Anyway, language abilities are compose of some field. For example writing, speaking, listening and reading.

I think that those 4 parts are equal important but I would like to improve speaking ability first. Because the purpose of learning foreign language for me is to communicate with foreigner.
Maybe people can communicate by writing. But I can’t communicate by writing with someone who is in front of me. This is why I emphasize speaking fluency.
So I memorize and recite Usual English conversation book everyday.

Though, my English teacher always points out my wrong grammar. Thus, I noticed I have weakness in basic grammar. When my tutor indicates my mistakes, I write that in my note and recite it after class. Nevertheless I always makes same mistakes.

For that reason, I write English diary. I thought if I write my thinking I can easily find my grammar mistakes. But I don’t know it carry out well.

Original ‘A great birth’ TV show is a survival singer audition show. And that show is made after TV show, and the actors of that show are top 10 of that show.



My mother likes Leetaegon who is the winner of the semifinal. She told to me I want to hear his song directly not TV show or mp3. Therefore when I heared the news that he was casted that show I remembered. And When the show initiate I booked the ticket and went to Daehackro to see that show with mother.



As soon as it started, people were screaming out the names of the singers. He is a ballad singer and his voice was very attractive and mellow.



I was very amazed to see star very near place. My heart was pounding so hard that I could even feel it. I realized at that time that hearing live music was much better than listening to it on my Mp3 player.



Anyway, I went that concert to satisfy my mother but really satisfied person was me.

I had a blind date last Saturday. I think that blind date is time and money wasting.
Because I had blind date four times this year, all of dates ( I mean women who come blind date as my mate but I don’t know what is the proper word) are not attractive.
I mean their appearance is not good.


Don’t misunderstand me. I am not lookism person. A few month ago. I wondered I am too picky or not, so I went to the street with my friend.
I am very sorry to women who were my target of evaluation. But I evaluate women’s appearance who were in the street.
I told my friend most of them are beautiful. Thus my friend said to me you are not too choosy.


Anyway, I think that there are 60 billion people are in the world thus there are 60 billion certification of beauty. What I mean is certification of beauty differs each person.

As I writing essay, topic wander from the subject. Anyway what I want to say is blind date are time and money wasting. If I do blind date again, I confirm mate’s appearance.

I start my day around 6 o’clock. As soon as I get up I turn on my computer and watching American drama. While watching American drama I have breakfast. My usual breakfast is cereal and some fruits.
After watched drama, I study English vocabulary or read English novel about 30 minutes.
After read novel I have English conversation class by skype about 30 minutes.
And finally I review my class or read English novel or study English vocabulary about 30 minutes.

After that four session I prepare to go to my office. My office is near my house so I commute there on foot.
As soon as I arrive office, I arrange my job by relative importance and do my task.
After finishing my work, I have a meeting with my team members.

When I come back home, I do house chores and stretch myself. After refreshing myself I read books or study something. I want to achieve two certifications which are related in my job. For that reason I study until I go to the bed.

When I am ready to go to bed, I write diary and recite good proverbs. These days I realize why I have to study so there is few stress to live this way.

Before I left on a trip to that mountain, I was so excited.
Because whenever I see the picture of summit of Mt Baekdoo which is on the first page of ethics textbook, I pledged myself I will go to the top of this mountain.



Upon arrival the entrance of Mt Baekdoo, I was surprised to see the thermal spring.
I knew that this mountain is dormant volcano. So I thought it does not have thermal spring.



Everything is fine until I arrived at the top of mountain.
There was a road to the top so I climb summit by car.
I was happy to see the beautiful lake on the top of mountain.
I ran and romp with my friend. But there is few oxygen in the top compare to the ground therefore I got short of breath and dizzy.



With the help of my friend, I breathed by using emergency oxygen can.



The tirp has taught me a lesson that the most important factor in mountain climb is acclimate myself and prepare its climate before climb the mountain.

About one year ago, I have internship in Big company. During that period I think that I will not enter this company. Because company people are drinking too much.

They drink at least 4 time in a week.
And If they start drink, they drink until they see someone vomit or someone lose their consciousness.

I think if they say themselves we drink enough that means they see someone vomit or lose their mind.

I am Korean but I don’t understand why they drink too much. Anyway I got a job another company. Me and officemates are sometimes drink for friendship.

The number of drinking session is lessened compare to internship compay but intension of it is not lessened.

In this situation I can say to my friend 'I feel like dancing'


Anyway I am little confusing two phrase. 'I like' and 'I feel like'


I think the difference is this.

'I like' means 'I have a good feeling or emoting to something'

And 'I feel like' means 'I have an good feeling something and I want to do it now'

Is it right?

Sometimes I got a lot of stress and I can't find the relieve.

That time I write secret diary in my tablet PC.

I want to write it on paper but I am worried about someone may read my diary.

Therefore I write it in my tablet. Because If someone want to see my secret diary, he have to

unlock my password.

I write everything in my secret diary and I got relived and feel relaxed.

example 1)

I was thinking about my girlfriend and I wanted to call her.

At that time, I got her call.

In this situation, I can talk to her "Oh honey, I was about to call you."


example 2)

I am wearing my shoes in front of the door to exercise outside.

Then my mom open the door to enter the house.

In this situation, I can talk to my mom "Oh, I was about to go outside."

The first thing is 'I'm trying + (verb)'.

I am trying to swim.

I am trying read that book, but that book is so difficult to me.

and I can use the phrase ' trying' in other way.

In situation, someone impress or trying to catch my attention.

Then I can use ' My girl friend is trying on me, My mother is trying on me, My workload is trying on me.'



Second phrase is 'I'm gonna'

It is speaking form of 'I am going to '.

So I can use this phrase this way.

"I'm gonna swim. , I'm gonna read this book."


Third is 'I have'

I have a book.

I have many clothes.



And I can use it with 'cannot and won't'

By adding these I can express what I will not put up with or allow.

'I cannot have the behavior in my house.'

'I won't have any animal in my office.'



Anyway, learning English is very interesting.

I think that "I'am good at swim" means I can very well swim.

But I think "I'm a good swimmer" means I just know how to swim. Is it right?

I am confusing to use 'I am good at swim & I am a good swimmer.'

What's the difference?


4.I am getting ~~

I can use the phrase 'I am getting' many ways.

If I don't have something, but someday in the future I may be have something.

I can use the phreas 'I am getting' in this way.

I am getting a new car.


and I can use the that phrase another way

My body is little sick and I feel I have a symptom of cold the I can use

" I am getting cold"


finally, I can use " I am getting" this way.


I have a plans to seek out or obtain particular thing.

"I am getting good at English writing"

"I am getting good at English speaking"

"I am getting bored"

"I am getting married"

I just joined the company so company people very like me.

Today, they make a welcome party for me.

They give me many beverage therefore I feel little dizzy now.

But I think to write English is so important for me.

I think it sounds strange when I like someone's death.

But Jung il Kim is harsh dictator, so I was glad to hear his death.

Anyway, he's death is not ordinary people death. It will rock Korea's peace.

I was glad to hear death of dictator but I am so worried about his son.

His son Jung un Kim is too young to govern one country.

I think in a few year North Korea will be destroy by it self by rebel.

I use rebel as a meaning of coup d'état.

I used to read everything writing in letter.

I can't understand all what I read, but I just enjoyed reading things.

Anyway reading habit really improve my reading comprehension.

My reading ability helps me in exams.

Because many test has so long text therefore student have to read fast.

One month ago, there were 4 people in my family.

But my older sister married 3 weeks ago, so now my family member is 3.

I usually spend my time playing games.

But these days, I changed my hobby to watch American drama.

Because, game is fun and exciting but I think it's easy to addict and almost wasting time.

However watching American drama is kind of study.

By watching it, I can understand American culture and can improve my listening comprehension.

I majored in polymer engineering and got the job at a chemical company.

Having finished my final exam one week ago and I am waiting to join the company.

Kwa chon is far from seoul, people rarely go.

So there are few people in museum.

In there, the exhibit named 'Tell me, Tell me' is now showing.

It's contemporary art. I thought that is weird.

The name of book is " Men are from mars Women from venus".

It's a international bestseller.

I can't write English well but I can understand easy English book.

If I read that book without scheme, I can't understand.

But I read that book's Korean edition, so I can understand and read that book without dictionary.

Anyway, reading something and get a knowledge is always fun!

The company makes polymer stabilizer and some kind of polymer additives.

And I read many Korean diary written by foreigner.

Some people write very good in Korean, but others are not.

I made many corrections.

But when I saw many sentence which needs to be corrected( I mean they use wrong grammar)

sometimes I feel exhausted.

If they would write a few sentence, I will delightly correct their diary.

So I write my diary entry less than 10 sentence.
