If you have any more questions, please ask!★

British eating habits can be very different for different people. Foreign food is widely eaten, and eating habits are a mixture of English, American and Mainland European traditions.

For breakfast, most people will just eat cereal, bread or toast. Some people may sometimes eat a "Full English Breakfast", which has fried or poached egg, toasted or fried bread, grilled sausages and grilled bacon.

Lunch and Dinner is normally a lot less traditional. Foreign food is much more commonly found in the UK compared to France or Italy, so many people will eat Italian, Indian or Chinese food for lunch or dinner. These are normally the English versions of foreign food though, so they can be different from the dishes served in their native countries (like how Spaggethi Naporian is a Japanese version of Pasta, which is very different to Italian Pasta).

One of the traditional English lunches that is still eaten widely is the Sunday Roast (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunday_roast). Most Pubs serve it every Sunday, and lots of People still eat it almost every week.

  • I mean, I am worried about food in the UK.If you are going to use "..." a thought should trail after it, but for this sentence, I believe a normal full stop would suffice. Either way, the entire sentence sounds a bit weird. I would write it as, "I am going to the Uk next April, but I've been thinking...what's the food like in the UK?

  • what do they eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

  • I just can't imagine. The sentence is originally fine, but I just think it expresses your meaning and sounds better with the 'just'.

  • why British foods is not aren't as well known. I believe 'as well known' is better since I don't think they are a complete blank, just not as well known.

  • i want to go trip at EU.
  • I want to go on a trip at to the EU. In protocol, if the abbreviation is not well known, so it does not become confusing, you should use the full and put the abbreviation in brackets. Then, for the rest of the text, you may write just the abbreviations i.e. European Union (EU). Just a tip.

Well, the reason British food isn't quite as well known is because it's not particularly special. For the French you have all that fancy stuff like crepes, snails, souffle etc. And the Italians have gelato, pastas, lasagnes etc. But when you think of Britain, all I can think of is English tea, English muffins and scones. But in England you can find anything you want to eat. Even foreign foods like French and Italian cuisine. There's no set rule on what types of foods to have for lunch and dinner, but breakfast is usually stuff like toast, eggs, English tea and bacon or other stuff like that.
