大学の申し込み：学習計画書

Hello everyone.
I am currently applying to go to a university in Tokyo, Japan and one of my requirements is to write a study plan in Japanese explaining the sort of subjects that I would be interested in taking.
I have written a basic one here but I'm not sure if the Japanese is correct or not. Any suggestions for improvement will be received gratefully.

(University name) was a keen choice for me as I've heard from many Japanese friends about the university's excellent reputation and teaching standard.
（大学の名）は私の第一志望でしたから、就職されたと聞いたとたん、とても嬉しかったでした。日本人の友人によると、明治大学はすばらしい評判があり、教育の水準が高いそうです。そのうえ、明治大学では、種々さまざまの学科を提供していますから、出席するのが待ち遠しいです。
At the University of Sheffield, I am currently studying a variety of subjects in accordance to my interests. I am of course taking Japanese language but have also done a course in Japanese politics. This is because I wanted to know how another country is run, develop my understanding within a new area and ultimately improve my understanding of Japan.
シェフィールド大学では、私の興味通りに色々な学科を履修中です。日本語のクラスはもちろん、日本の政治学も履修しました。なぜなら、他の国がどのように治められているか知りたくなって、新しい分野の理解を発達するように、結局日本についての理解を上達したかったからです。
Since before coming to university, I've had a keen interest in the evolution of the Japanese language. And so I decided to enroll on a course for Classical Japanese. I think the course is very interesting and so would like to study it further when studying abroad in Japan. Given the opportunity, I would like to study Japanese poetry, particularly poetry written in classical Japanese.
大学に来る前からも、日本語の発達に大変興味があって、もっと知りたかったでした。そこで、シェフィールド大学で古語学のコースに登録することにしました。コースが大いに面白いと思いますから、日本に留学したら、さらに勉強したいと思います。機会があれば、日本の詩、特に古語で書かれた詩が勉強したいです。
Furthermore, as preparation for the year abroad, I've taken a course in Contemporary Japanese Texts in order to attain useful skills in things like reading the the newspaper and leaflets and understanding 'omamori' in temples and shrines and so on. As I intend to reside in Japan after graduation, this course has provided vital cultural insight and I believe it to be very beneficial.
そのうえ、日本に留学することの用意として、新聞やちらしを読むことや、お寺や神社でのお守りを理解することなどの役に立つ技能を習得するように、日本の現代の本文のコースも履修しました。卒業したら日本に住むつもりですから、そのコースが必要な日本の文化に対する洞察を供給して、とても有益だと思います。
I've been a keen drawer since I could hold a pencil and have always excelled in creative activities. Calligraphy has taken my interest in the past few years and I would love to join a circle or take a course.
私は、鉛筆が持てるときから描くことや創造生活に熱心です。近年には、日本の書道に興味がわいてみました。それで日本に着いたら、書道のコースをしたり、サークルに入ったりしたいと思います。
I have a growing interest in Japanese culture and so would like to experience more traditional activities such as tea ceremony, flower arranging and so on.
Another keen interest is languages, hence my degree program so far. I am always enthusiastic to learn other languages and countries' customs, whether they be east Asian or European and so on.
日本の文化に興味がありますから、茶道や生け花を始め、もっと伝統的な活動が経験したいです。他の興味は外国語とそれぞれの習慣です。東洋のかヨーロッパのかどちらもいいです。
After university, I aim to apply for the JET program to fully develop my Japanese communication and cultural understanding.
大学を卒業したら、日本語の伝達と文化の理解を十分に発達するように、ジェット・プログラムを申し込むつもりです。
(I'm not quite sure how to conclude this as I don't know how Japanese universities work. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.)

なぜなら、他の国がどのように治められているか知りたくなって、新しい分野の理解を発達するように深めることで、結局最終的に日本についての理解を上達し深めたかったからです。
大学に来る行く前からも、日本語の発達歴史（？）に大変興味があって、もっと知りたかったでしたのです。
コースが大いに面白いと思いますからうので、日本に留学したら、さらに勉強したいと思います。
卒業したら日本に住むつもりですからなので、そのコースが必要な日本の文化に対する洞察を供給してくれるこのコースは 私にとってとても有益だと思います。

そのうえ、明治大学では、種々さまざま多岐にわたるの学科（／履修科目）を提供していますから、授業に出席するのが待ち遠しいです。
現在在籍しているシェフィールド大学では、私の興味通りに沿って色々な学科（／科目）を履修中です。
なぜなら、他の国がどのように治められて（／統治されて）いるか知りたくなってということについて以前から興味をもっていたことから、新しい分野の理解を発達するようにが深まる（／広がる）に従い、結局日本（の統治構造）についての理解を上達したかったさらに深めたいと思ったからです。
大学に来る入学する前からも、古典から現代文に至る日本語の発達に大変興味があってり、もっと知りたかったでした理解を深めたいと思っていました。
そこで、シェフィールド大学で日本の古語学（古典）のコースに登録することにしました。
このコースが大いに面白いと思いますから大変興味深かったため、日本に留学したら後、さらに勉強したいと思っています。
そのうえ、日本に留学することための用意として、新聞やちらしを読むことや、お寺や神社でのお守りを理解することなど、日本での実際の生活の役に立つ技能を習得するよう能力を身につけるために、日本の現代の本文のコースも履修しました。
卒業したら後は日本に住むつもりですからみたいと考えており、そこのコースを履修することによりが必要な日本の文化に対する洞察力を供給してが得られると考えられることから、とても有益だと思います。
私は、鉛筆が持てるようになったときから、描くことや創造生活に熱心的な活動に熱心に取り組んで来ましたです。
近年には、日本の書道に興味がわ沸いてみきました。
それでそのため、日本に着いたら、書道のコースを履修したり、サークルに入ったりしたいと思います。
日本の文化に興味がありますることから、茶道や生け花を始め、もっと伝統的な活動がを経験したいです。
他の興味を持っていること（／その他の関心事項）は外国語とそれぞれそれらの国の習慣です。
東洋のか、ヨーロッパのかどちらについてもいい大変興味を持っていますです。
大学を卒業したら後は、日本語での伝達会話（／コミュニケーション）と日本文化の理解を十分に発達するようにさらに深めるため、ジェット・プログラムをに申し込むつもりみたいと考えておりますです。
I wrote in red when your Japanese is incorrect, and I proposed somes phrases in blue to improuve or to be natural Japanese.
One thing I haven't understand is first sentence.「就職されたときいた」means "you have got a job/post",but I don't think you wanted to say that. And I couldn't find the equivalent phrase in your English part,so I eliminated it.
