Chikuwa is a kind of Japanese food product.
Fish paste is put around a bamboo stick and roasted, so it looks like a tube.

Chikuwa is used in various dish.
In my case, it is connected with Oden which is a kind of Nabe (hot pot).
Many kind of ingredients, such us Japanese radish, boiled egg, 牛すじ(牛 means cow. すじ is a stiff part of leg which connects bone and muscles at a joint. How do you say it in English?) as well as Chikuwa, was boiled in stock for a long time with low heat.

It sounds tasty, doesn't it?
