Usually Children' names reflect the parents' visions and wishes and each year they may be changed. For example, if the natural disaster was happened in a year and a child was born, the parents would be likely to choose the name for wishing the recovery or appreciation for the newly born life. On the other hand, parents may want to choose unique and unforgettable name such as "Satan." In this essay, I discuss whether the parent should choose a name which is commonly used in societies.

First, children cannot refuse their given names. Then, if they were given too unique names, they would think it is shame and embarrassed. Some creative names could be successful to be accepted, but it's more unlikely to happen. Because I do not suppose that many people are talented to create new words.

However, there may be positive effect for learning languages by truly new names. Commonly used names are a bit dull and they don't have so many impact, when they are introduced. If you met a new person with very interesting name, you might consult dictionaries to understand the pronunciation and the etymology. it is a hook for learning languages.

Having said that new innovative names could evoke our intellectual interests, traditional names are more important for us, as they could contain the family histories and the society's virtue. For example, many western names are connected to the Bible. This is because their moral thoughts were cultivated by the Bible.

To sum up, traditional names must be preserved and it should be one of the things that connect to ancestral value to remember our passes. However, what everyone has similar names would be strange.

Nice piece of writing. We can chat about my changes in our next conversation. I have written some notes but can explain further. Sorry that I continued correcting while not chatting. I prefer to correct and chat at the same time so I can ask you questions.

There are some Japanese people with really eccentric names these days. It makes it hard for teachers and city hall people.

Yes. Akuma-chan is the translation of satan there. But I wonder if I could say "devil." I cannot distinguish the two.

Thank you for the corrections!
