The Suberbs

When the first time I heard Arcade Fire won a Grammy for Album of the Year, I was really happy. As you know, I LOVE Arcade Fire! I felt certain that they gained global recognition.

But... Soon after that, I became very complicated. Grammy Awards was televised live via satellite even here in Japan. And in much of the media coverage, they talked about who'll win the Grammy.
Day after the Grammy Awards, I checked morning news show. Unfortunately, any TV station didn't cover about Arcade Fire at all. Although I believed they provide news coverage of Arcade Fire. Don't turn your back on them!

Japanese media go on and on about "Lady Gaga's fashion and performance are overwhelming" or "Justin Bieber didn't win Best New Artist".

It's natural because some Japanese artists won the Grammy this time, so there is no wonder that Japanese artists attract more attention in Japan.

To my surprise, even many Euro-American people said "Who the hell is Arcade Fire?".
On the other hand, some people still think "The Suberbs" is a band name.

But this is just the real world. I thought Arcade Fire were already mainstream...

Anyway, I would like to take this opportunity to highly recommend you the great band called Arcade Fire. All of their albums "Funeral", "Neon Bible", and "The Suburbs" are masterpieces.

Speaking of The Suburbs, Spike Jonze shot a short film and to premiere at Berlin Film Festival. I'm really want to see the film!
