2009 New Year's resolutions

Happy new year !
( I had belived that ① "A Happy new year ! " was right.
However for the first time I knew that ②" Happy new
year ! " was right a few years ago.
Well, it's very difficult for me to understand the difference
between ①and ② .
By the way, I decided my New Year's resolutions.
1) Keep learning English and Korean by myself.
2）lose five kilograms.
3)Keep clearning my house.

"A happy new year"と”Happy new year”の違い。
私も最近気がついたのですが、疑問に思って調べてたのでご紹介します。
以下はYahoo知恵袋からの引用です。

文頭にHappyがくる場合、形容詞本来の「楽しい」「喜ばしい」「幸福な」といった意味より、感嘆詞的なあいさつの言葉としての意味合いが強くなるのか、英語圏では冠詞を付けないですよ。
一番いい例が Happy birthday! でこれにＡを付ける人は日本人でもさすがにいませんよね。
でも Hope you'll have a happy birthday. の様に文中では冠詞が付きます。
この場合は「良い誕生日が迎えられますように」というようにhappyがbirthdayを修飾する本来の形容詞の意味で使われていますからbirthdayに対して冠詞を付けるのだと思います。
これは New Year や birthday だけでなく Easter、Halloween、Thanksgiving Dayなどでも同じです。
それと、確かに Merry Christmas! ではＡが付くこともありますが、Ａなしでも決して間違いではなく、英語圏でも充分通用しますよ。
（こちらも歌の文句にI wish you a merry Christmasとあるように、文中の場合は冠詞が付くのは言うまでもありません。

センテンスの中では動詞の後には冠詞ａがつく形で使われる･･･という理解で良いのかな？

In English, "Happy New Year" is the most common way of expressing that greeting. "A Happy New Year", if it is still used, sounds more like older English. I could see it being used today in greeting cards or things like that, but in conversation it sounds old. (Same with "A Merry Christmas to you!" and the like)
So when you want to wish someone a happy new year, you can just say "Happy New Year!" And when you're talking about having a happy new year, as I am right now, normal rules of sentences apply. For example:
Have a happy new year.
I didn't have a very happy new year.
Wish him a happy new year for me.
It's pretty much the same as what puririn said, but does that help? ^_^

When I looked over the expression about New year's greeting,
I read the same explanation as what you said.
But I didn't make sense because it was write by Japanese people.
By now, I can understand the difference between "Happy New year" and "A Happy Nwe Year". Your help is very nice! Thank you very much. :)
