가다 VS 가보요

hello all teachers in Lang-8..
it has been a very long time not visiting this site..
my internet connection is getting worse so i can afford to access any sites...
so sad to remember about that..
anyway, my Korean studying is still going on and i have started to learn how to make a good sentences...
i am a bit confused about this 2 words...
which one is better?? in what situation can these words been used??
here are the word:
1) 나는 한국에 가다 싶어요
2) 나는 한국에 가보요 싶어요
what is the difference between these two sentences??
i'm really confused about it...

actually it's not that important.
1.I want to go to Korea.
2.I want to try to go to Korea.
~~보다.
가보다 - try to go
해보다 - try to do
마셔보다 - try to drink
놀아보다 - try to play
나는 한국에 가고 싶어요.
It means just "I want to go to korea."
나는 한국에 가보고 싶어요.
It means "I have not been to korea. I want to visit korea.".

thanks for ur explanation... actually, i'm still confused why 가다 transformed into 가고 ...
i always think that 가다 's informal form is 가요...
