Many years ago, at the Warsaw flea market, I bought for a song, a mouthful of bread and three apple seeds, Snow White's powder pot, lipstick, and garter from a Russian rabbit, an ancient lace peddler, at least a hundred years old, with a toothless grin.
何年も前のこと、ワルシャワの蚤の市で、こんなものを買いました。手放したのは、ひとつの曲、一口分のパンとリンゴの種３つ。これは白雪姫のおしろい箱、口紅、そしてガーターです。商人のロシアウサギは古くからレースを売り歩いていました。少なくとも１００年くらい。歯のない笑みを浮かべながら。

さぁ、気になって来ましたか？

Perhaps this casket containing the very same splinter which pricked Sleeping Beauty?
このようなものもお気に召すかと。この小箱に入っているとげは、眠れる森の美女の指に刺さった、あのとげです。
