나는 탄수화물을 사랑한다.

탄수화물이 세상에서 제일 맛있다.

Carbohydrates is are always right. 탄수화물은 언제나 옳다.Perhaps in Korean 'carbohydrates' are treated as a singular noun, but in (American?) English,, we treat it is a plural noun. We see carbohydrates as a mass made up of many, so we use "are" instead of "is".
