Anyway, to answer your question, "breakfast", "lunch", "dinner", "tea" etc are referred as meals. Food is just anything that people eat. Therefore, to pour mayonnaise on every meal means that they have it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, supper and so on. To pour it on every food, it will include times when they are snacking. For example, putting mayonnaise on a chocolate bar. Hehe.
I think putting mayo on a chocolate bar is a bit exaggeration,
but using "food" is better than "meal", I think.
