Renunciation of war is written in the Constitution of Japan.
In Japan, there are some political parties who believe that wars hadn't occurred because of this article.
We tell them teasingly like this:
Why don't you write in the Constitution of Japan that typhoons must not hit on Japan.
So, they won't come around.
日本国憲法には戦争の放棄が書かれています。
日本の政党の中にはこのおかげで戦争が起きないのだと信じている政党もあります。
その人たちにこういってからかうことがあります。いわく、
憲法に、台風は日本に来てはならないと書けば良いんじゃないの。
そうすれば、日本に台風は来なくなるよ。
