Practice For Making Various Sentences 1
I made some sentences off the top of my head.
It keeps raining day after day.
The cold weather continues.
As soon as I thought "it's cold", snow began to fall.
I slipped and fell on the hard-as-ice frozen snow. (My own correction in blue doesn't sound that natural to me, but it does convey the meaning.)
Since the dark clouds are approaching, it should rain soon.
I was woken up by sudden thunder at midnight last night.
Deep snow absorbs all sound, so the silence covers all around. (Very poetic! I like this one.)
I can't see anything because of the thick fog.

Last night, I was woken up in the middle of the night by sudden thunder.
OR: Deep snow absorbs all sound, so there is a blanket of silence over everything
