I am a Chauffeur, living in Chicago.
I am trying to learn Japanese, because I have always found the culture interesting. My daughters have introduced me to many Anime shows. Listening to them in their native language is always better then subtitles.
I am a native speaker of English, but it's been a very long time since i was in school. I know what sounds right, to average Americans. I call it common English. Unfortunately, I do not know many of the grammar rules behind it. This makes Japanese harder for me too, since most lessons refer to English grammar rules.
I started studying Japanese in June of 2010, so I really don't know enough Kanji to use or read them. This is why i still only write my entries in hiragana.
