Kiyotan : Mononoke-hime (1)

Do you know the movie "Mononoke-hime" or "The Princess Mononoke"?
It's a popular movie directed by Hayao Miyazaki.
I just got back from the world:)
It's in a Yakushima island in Kagoshima prefecture.
We hiked there and felt misterious and mystic atmosphere there.
It was quite foggy and felt lots of spiritual creatures:)
We also saw some wild deer and monkeys.
We had to hike more than ten hours to see the biggest and oldest( it's more than 7000 years old!!) cider tree but I was not that confident so we chose a three hour hike.
Evevn so we could see lots of beautiful trees (even they were more than 3000 years old!).
Plus we could eat lots of rare and delicious fish.
I ate deep fried flying fish for the first time.
It had fins and almost was flying!
I got millions of positive energy there:D

I've been quite lazy recently and don't feel like studying seriously...:(
It's not good!
I talk in English with my friends but don't care about grammar well.
All the people here are studying well and I always get good influence by them:)
I think I should come here more often and should write something, even though it's short.
But I just can't concentrate to study at home.
Where do you study always?
I always go to a cafe.
I watched a movie "Karate kid" on the plane on the way to Russia.
It was pretty better than I thought, I've never watched old ones so I couldn't compare though.
The movie wasn't my cup of tea so I won't go to a theater but I could enjoy it on the plane:)
But the most surprising thing was,,,he had a kiss scene!
He's around 10 when the movie was shot right??
Plus he kissed with a Chinese girl!
It's not common in Japan as well as in China I think.
So I heard the scene was censored in China.
To kiss around 10 is common in the many countries??
We Japanese people are not used to kissing, our parents don't kiss us often, and I don't see our parents kissing.
When was your first kiss? mine was quite late:(

Kiyotan : Russia (1)

My impression about Russia.
Russian people are so beautiful! I really like their blue eyes and blond hair:) especially young girls were so slim, tall, and sexy!
They don't wear pastel color clothes, they were black, blue, or red, very cool!
So I'm thinking to wear that kind of clothes this autum:)
They were kind! I got lost many times and they helped us to get to the direction.
The city itself looked like a museum.
Subway was sooooo deep and complicated.
I heard the life expectancy is around 59, it's too young:( maybe it's because it's too cold there?
I heard the age people can drink alcohol isn't decided, so anybody can drink anywhere. I saw some people drinkind evev in the subway! It's paradise for alcohol lovers!
Cigarette was so cheap like Japan! around 300 yen, in many countries it costs around 1000yen though. I'm not a somoker but they are selling lots of cute floral pattern cigarettes so I bought some, in Japan the price of it will rise from October!
I still have many things want to write! but maybe another time:)

Kiyotan : got Russian Visa! (3)

I'm going to Russia next Monday for the first time!
I just got Russian visa today, and quite excited:)
But in Japan, we can't get a lot of information about Russia:(
I really want to see Red Square, Kremlin, and Hermitage museum.
And want to buy Matryoshka dolls, and Cheburashka goods,(is he a mouse or bear?).
Of course I want to enjoy vodka and caviar:)
What I'm worried about is there are not many signs written in English.
So I have to remember some nessesity words, like restroom;)
But I like to learn languages, now I can say only "thank you" "good" "yes" and "no" in Russian:P
The another concern is the fluctuate temperature, the temperature here in Japan is around 30 but there maybe around 10?? need to look for a winter coat!
I'm also really looking forward to watching ballet, opera, circus!! can't wait:D
I think I should start packing by now, but what should I bring??

I just took Toeic test yesterday.
I don't like to study only for Toeic test, I like to learn every day conversation language much more.
But it's hard to tell if I'm improving, so I sometimes take the test to check my level.
Recently my score isn't improving:(
Maybe I always study idioms and slungs, and I'm sure I came to understand tv shows much better, but that doesn't help to improve the score...:(
I think I need to learn business words, and have to read news papers, I don't like though.
Recently I watch "Greys anatomy" "scrubs"and "HOUSE" and learned medical words.
Next I want to learn trial words so maybe I should watch " Ary Mcbell".
I really like to study English with fun:D

Last week my friend & I went to the "English Town" in the university.
In that place, we always have to speak English, and there are some native speakers.
It's normally for only students, but only during summer vacation it's open for public.
We can chat with native speakers, eat lunch, and get lessons there.
On that day, we were thaught about Asuka era of Japan in English by foreign people.
It was quite embarrassing because they knew much better than us:p
I hope the place open for public all around the year, but maybe students wouldn't be so happy:)

Kiyotan : Who is the "wing man"? (7)

I always read a free English magazine called " Kansai scene".
It has lots of informations about events, movies, crassified ads etc...
I can get tons of informations about Kansai in English, so I like that.
And many of my foreign friends read this magazine.
I really like to read "friendship" or "language exchange" because I can find lots of funny & practical phrases.
Today I found
"Wing man wanted! I'm a white guy, 30's looking for mates to go out drinking and looking for ladies in Osaka. No gay or bi or group things."
It was hilarious! Wing man means the mate to go out to pick on girls together?
The other one is "Looking for a JF! I'm a handsome a little bit cuddly European guy let's amuse each other".
JF is Japanese woman, cuddly is chubby right?
And the creepiest one is "Let's hang out, go to see the fireworks, eat romantic dinner at your place, and more..."
what's " and more"??

Kiyotan : Is he a hero or not? (5)

The news may not be new anymore, but still many of my American friends like to talk about that.
It's about a male fright attendant snapped to the passesnger.
The passenger must've been so arrogant, so he said a lot of f-words, grabbed some beer and slid down with emergency chute!!
He did what many people wanted to do but couldn't.
In Japan, customers always come first, we have to treat custmers like a god, so that kind of things can't happen.
But I'm sure many people are atressed out and really want to do that, so I also think he is a hero!!
What do you think?
And one of my friends said "he is a bad ass!" is it similar to hero?

Today I talked to one of my Aussie friends.
He told us about his school ages but he used lots of Aussie words, so I couldn't get some of them.
On their muck up day (means the last lesson day, right?) they went to a bar and drink a lot and went to school.
In Japan we can't drink till 20 so it's impossible.
Plus he said he called a stripper to the school!!she danced almost naked.
He said the principal also enjoyed that.
I'm sure he mentioned his school was very strict though:
And for a graduation trip, schoolies( means 3rd year students, right?) go to Gold Coast and have fan with toolies(means 20s want to have fun with schoolies, right?)
A blast from the past. (means old good days?)

Kiyotan : Bodyboarding (0)

Today was my late Obon off, so we went to Nagashima Spa Land.
It's an amusement park with water park and hot spring.
In the water park, there are lots of water slides we slide with tubes or boats.
We go there every year.
And there are very steep slides almost falling!!
But my favorite is "Flow rider", we can body board there:D
Now I'm hooked on bodyboarding.
We spent there almost all day long.
I think I'm improving every year, but I want to go there more than twice a year, so I can be better faster.
In the amusement park, there are large numbers of crazy rides like free fall, roller coasters, viking, and flying carpet.
I really like that kind of exciting rides!
I don't want to get tanned but can't stop going to the exciting places:D

Kiyotan : Summer Sonic (3)

We have some summer rock events in Japan, one of famous one is "Summer Sonic".
I always think to go there every year, but I'm anemic and afraid to faint and can't make it:(
The event was held last weekends, and many famous singers came this year too.
For instance Taylar Swift, Stevie Wander, The smashing pumpkings, Off springs, SUM41, Steve Appleton,A TRIBE CALLED QUEST,PIXIES, JAY-Z 3OH!3, etc...
We can see them at one place same day! Isn't is amazing???
Lady Gaga came last year, but she didn't come this year.
I really like her excentlic fashinon, action, peformance, and of course songs:)
She came to Japan for a concert several month ago, but I couldn't make it, but one of my friends went there and bought me a T-shirt. ( She had a telephone on her head!)
Recently I really like Steve Appleton too. He's just around 21, but his song is amazing, and he is so cute&sexy<3
I really wanted to see him:(
It's held outside all day long...
I need stamina much more not to faint, it's really worth to go.
