"IMPLEMENT" is well-known by Java programmers.

I tried an exercise of the TOEIC (a kind of the exam of business English).

One of them has following four selections, "preceded", "convinced", "attained" and "implemented".
I didn't know the previous three, but I knew "implemented" and it was right so I could solve it.
The exercise book says that that problem was one of the most difficult.

Why did I know it ?

Because Java, a programming language, has the "implement" keyword.
This keyword is used when the logic get defined and the interface has been already defined.

Many programming languages are effected by English.
For instance, most of them have following syntax, "if", "while", et al.
Their libraries (useful programs for programmers) are effected, too.

I was happy that I got again that my knowledge of the programs were useful for my studying English. :)

TOEIC の練習問題に挑戦してみました。

そのうちの問題の一つには、４つの選択肢 "preceded", "convinced", "attained", "implemented" がありました。
私は前の３つはわかりませんでしたが、"implemented"を知っていて、それが正解だったので、問題を解くことができました。
演習問題の本曰く、最も難しい問題の一つとのことです。

なぜ私がこの単語を知っていたのでしょうか？

それは、プログラミング言語 Java に implement キーワードがあるからです。
implement キーワードは「インタフェースがすでに定義されていて、そのロジックを定義するとき」に使用されます。

多くのプログラミング言語は英語の影響を受けています。
例えば、多くの言語は if, while, その他の構文を持っています。
ライブラリ（プログラマのための便利なプログラム）もまた影響を受けています。

プログラムの知識が英語の勉強に役立つことを再発見できたのは、嬉しいですね。 :)
