Language is a tool for something.

I've got read a book that is about studying English.
Its author is Mr Masanori Kanda, a famous person of the business books.
His writing is frank, being a full of kindness and so exciting.

In this book, he says that English is a tool to get a success of business.
I also think languages, not only English, are tools for something.

Well, what do I want to do with English?
I'm not in the world using English in business now.

By the way, I'm studying French too by the radio.
I'm doing with for beginners, and I'm only hearing advanced.
It has lessons with French Literary works, so I'm getting a little interested in it.

About English works, I've read 'The Gift of Magi' by O Henry.
I think his short short stories are written in easy English.
(It may be because my book is for English learners. :) )

Studying business English, and I will read the O Henry again...?

英語の勉強に関する本を読みました。
著者は神田昌典さん、ビジネス書の分野で有名な人です。
彼の語り口はフランクで、優しさにあふれていて、そしてわくわくさせてくれます。

この本の中で、彼は、英語はビジネスの成功をつかむツールであると言っています。
私も、英語にかぎらず、言語は何かのためのツールだと思います。

しかし、私は英語で何がしたいのでしょうか？
私は現在、英語をビジネスで使うような世界にいません。

ところで、私はラジオでフランス語も勉強しています。
初級編で勉強をしていますが、上級編も聞くだけ聞いています。
上級編はフランス文学を取り上げた授業で、フランス文学に少し興味を持ち始めました。

英語の作品といえば、オー・ヘンリーの「賢者の贈り物」を読んだことがあります。
彼のショートショートは簡単な英語で書かれていますよね。
（私の持っている本が英語学習者向けの本だからかもしれませんが。 :) ）

ビジネス英語を勉強している身ですが、オー・ヘンリーを読みなおしてみましょうかね…？
