another Anne note
April 24th,
I'm reading Anne of the island now, another Anne series book. I do love Philippa. She is my second favorite character now, the first one is Anne, of course.
At first I thought Philippa is only one of those shallow, frivious teenager girls, giggling and talking endlessly with each other. But this impression all changes a few minuties ago, when I read about the part that Philippa felt in love with Jonas Blake. Suddnely I found this girl is not shallow but pure, and with a simple but beautiful nature.
Her feelings about Jonas shows that she didn't know or understand love before, and the sudden come of the feeling of love simply caught her. Her reaction is so cute, like a little innocent deer. I love her for her pure heart, and her way of speak out her feelings so candid.
I will keep reading tonight, I really want to know what happen to those lovely charaters later in the book. Gilbert is clearly a good choice for Anne, but a good novel can't just picture our heronie's life journey this easy and plain.
Back to the real world. I'd like to comment a few words about today, April 25th. Spring indeed comes today, in Boston, from the JFK beach to our small apartment on Gardner Street. Trees with unknown names blossom like a parade on our way to the beach, though the road is crowd----people aeems all flooded to the shopping center today, I enjoyed the view of the flowers when we were caught in the middle of the traffic. I like spring, it makes me feel everything is cheerful and splendid, with unlimited hope in everybody's life.

Gilbert is clearly a good choice for Anne, but a good novel can't just represent our heronie's heroine's life journey this easy and plain.
