Stories in the textbook

I borrowed an interesting book from the library the other day.
It includes some stories written in the primary school textbook.
These stories made me feel nostalgic.

One of my favorite stories is “きつねのひろった定期券” .
A little fax found a train pass on the street. He was happy and imagined. He was going to the town and stuff his face with freshly-fried croquettes…
This “freshly-fried croquettes” remains fresh in my mind.
Eventually he gave it back to the girl who lost the pass. But the girl promised to buy freshly-fried croquettes for the little fox.

Come to think of it, the stories associated with food seem to be more memorable.I remember ice cream or pancakes with honey and freshly baked breads in the stories vividly.
I suppose that I like cooking or baking sweets because of these memories of the books.

Excellent, and very touching. Nostalgia is an interesting feeling.

In the sentence, "Eventually he gave it back to the girl who lost the pass", you must introduce the object (the pass), before you can refer to the object with a pronoun (it); otherwise it is an ambiguous pronoun.

You must change the sentence to, "Eventually, he gave the pass back to the girl who lost it".

I hope this makes sense.
