How to Learn Foreign Languages

In an attending German course, I have an impression that European people quickly learn German language. They appear positive about speaking.

When we were talking about how to learn foreign languages, an European said that Asian people are gooding at the reading and writing.

Is it true? Japanese people start studying about the grammar of English and spend considerable time on it. Practics of conversations are not enough. At least that is my case. And, the ability to read and write is not also enough because of lack of the practices.

Tomorrow, I am going to take the second examination in the class, and go to downtown to drink some wine with the members of the course afterward. (≧▽≦)
