I found the idiom "You name it."
I can't understand to read some examples of it in my dictionary.
Please teach me how to use it. Would you give me some examples you usually use it.

  • I can't understand to read some examples of it in my dictionary.
  • I still can't understand after reading some examples of it in my dictionary.

  • Would you give me some examples you usually use it.
  • Would you give me some examples of how you usually use it.

I'll do anything, you name it, I'll do it!

I'll pay as much as you want, you name it!

When someone says 'you name it' it usually means they are willing to do/pay anything to get whatever they are after. They are leaving it up to the other person to decide and are implying they will agree with whatever it is.

Dear David
Thank you very much for your help.
I fully realize my poor knowledge.
You mean this idiom is that I agree and do something you want.
Is my understanding correct?
Thank you.
