IELTS TEST
IELTS is an abbreviated form of International English Language Testing System and admitted in England, Australia, New Zealand and Canada.
IELTS has academic module and general module. I took the IELTS test at Macquarie University yesterday. Macquarie Uni is far away 10 minutes from my house. IELTS test is thing which I have to take for living in Australia to me who have been without speaking English in Korea.
I have not ever taken English test as like TOIEC so I went to test centre with some nervousness. 8.20A.M, when I arrived, many candidates who from a variety of country had queued for registration before the test. After registration by passport, I entered a lecture room and waited to start. The test started around 9 o’clock from listening test and then I took reading and writing test in the morning. After that, I could have a lunch for 20min. I t was too short time for lunch because I had to receive to check once again from centre staff before speaking test. The speaking test was composed one to one conversation in a big lecture room. I was not so nervous but I had to concentrate speaking about questioning.
I was rid of my encumbrance though I am not sure about result.
I have an unsatisfied feeling so I am going to taking IESTS test once again to improve my English ability.


아이엘츠 시험
아이엘츠란 International English Language Testing System의 약자로 영국, 호주, 뉴질랜드, 캐나다 등에서 인정하는 영어시험이다. IELTS 는 아카데믹과 제너럴 모듈이 있다.
어제 그 IELTS 시험을 Macquarie 대학에서 보았다.
Macquarie 대학은 집에서 차로 10분 정도 거리에 있다.
영어와 별 상관없이 지내온 내게도 IELTS 시험은 호주생활에서 피할 수 없는 일이다.
토익과 같은 다른 시험도 여태껏 본 적이 없는 나는 어느 정도의 긴장을 가지고 시험장에 갔다.
8시20분, 다양한 국적의 응시생들이 시험 전 등록을 하기 위해 줄을 서있었다.
여권으로 등록을 마치고 시험장소에 도착해서 시험시작을 기다렸다. 시험은 9시경에 시작되었다.
리스닝, 리딩, 라이팅 시험을 오전에 치르고 오후에 스피킹 시험을 보았다.
스피킹 시험은 큰 강의실에서 일대일 대화로 이루어 졌다. 많이 긴장하진 않았지만 정신을 집중해야만 했다. 결과야 어찌됐건 간에 시험이 끝나서 기분이 홀 가분 했다.
아쉬움도 남았기에 영어실력 향상을 위해 다시 한번 IELTS 시험에 도전 하고자 한다.
