I lived in Tanzania for 2 years...
I had to study Swahili to survive there. . .
Swahili was easy to learn than English in my case.
My neighbors used to give me a compliment for my swahili ability.
However. . .
It's been 10 months since I came back Korea, my swahili ability is getting worse.
I've almose forgotten it.

Today, one of my friends asked me to teach swahili.
I thought I'd better go on study swahili in case.

I may travel to east africa again. . . .KK

wow that's cool. I heard that phonetically swahili was similar to japanese (in its sounds). Sometimes I hear african names, and I see a similar pattern (for instance Obama is also a town in japan). Do you study japanese as well? what did you do in tanzania?

I taught chemistry to the secondary school students as a volunteer.

It was an awesome experience. . . .
I miss my neighbors and I'd like to write a letter to them somtimes. .
However I cannot write half of what I want to. . .

yeah!! Swahili sounds like a Japanese, so Japanese friends got used to speak swahili very easily.

Do you study Japanese??
What do you study it for???

I would like to study Japanese as well someday, but studying English is more important to me right away. . .
