Prejudice to HIV positive Patients

I saw a HIV-positive patient recently, and I thought even staff who are engaged in medical field had prejudice against HIV positive patients.
I thought the measures have been taken against the patients would not be proper, but I couldn't tell anybody my thought, because I'm a student nurse.
One day our leader made a nurse throw away the cup which the patients used, although saliva couldn't be the cause of infection.
Today one of nurses who is specialized by infection diseases told me about her thought, and I could tell what I said.
She told me that she wanted to educate staff and change the measures.
I think knowledge help people from prejudice.
I should have brave to say what I think it's right.
And knowledge which is specialized can be important, even after I became a nurse.

最近、エイズの患者さんを見るんだけど、医療従事者ですらエイズに対して偏見があるなと思った。
その患者さんに対してとられている対策が正しくないと思っていたんだけど、私はただの学生だし、看護助手なので言えなかった。
ある日、主任が看護師に唾液は感染の原因にならないのに、エイズ患者が使ったコップを捨てさせた。
今日、感染管理に詳しい看護師が思ってることを私に言ってきたので、私も思ってることを言った。
その看護師さんはスタッフも教育しないといけないし、対策も考え直さないといけないと言っていた。
知識は偏見から人を救うと思う。私は自分が正しいと思うことを言う勇気を持たないといけないと思った。それに看護師になってからも、専門の知識って必要だなと思った。
