I'd Like To Improve My Pronuniciation

A couple of days ago, I found a website that I can record my voice. For some reasons, I have to improve my pronunciation. I will have some presentations in Canada next year. At the time, I have to explain everything in English.

I'm thinking that I'd like to record my voice. I have some CDs of an American accent. So, while listening to the CDs, I'd like to practice the accent. I hope it will work out for me, and I can improve my pronunciation!

  • For a variety of reasons, I want to improve my pronunciation. [Your English is very clear Yumi. It is always good to focus on improving but you will be fine. I changed "have to" to "want to" because I think it is more appropriate.]

  • I have some CDs of an American accent. [Only one specific accent? If so, this is ok. If not, 'some' is possibly better than 'an'. The other correction would also be good.]

  • So, while listening to the CDs, I'd like to practice the accent. [If it is only one accent, this sentence is fine. If not, 'accent' should be 'accents'.]

I am sure it will work out, Yumi. Focus on listening to your friends and asking them to help you. It is far more interactive than a CD.
