It's Almost Christmas!

Today I received pretty Christmas cards and some stuff from my foreign friends. Since I've also already sent them Christmas cards and stuff, I wounder when they would receive mine.
Because when I went to the post office, the officer told me that mails had been busy for Christmas.

I opened a Christmas card from my American friend. He sent me some his family's photos. All of them looked very happy in each pictures. According to him, he also sent me some stuff, like DVDs or books. Right now I haven't received it, but I can't wait!
I also received a Christmas card and a Christmas pudding from my British friend. Although I've never eaten Christmas pudding, it looked very delicious. The smell was also very good.
However, when I opened the container, I was a little bit surprised. The appearance wasn't good. It was almost black and looked like burned stuff. I was a bit scared to eat.
However, the smell was mixed spicy like cinnamon and dried fruits like raisins. According to his letter, I can't eat it without heating. I'm looking forward to eating it tomorrow. Because tomorrow is Christmas eve. I would love to it with Christmas cake.
I also can't wait!

My online teachers sometimes ask me how we spend Christmas in Japan. Actually, most of us are Buddhists, but we celebrate Christmas except going to church or doing carolling.
It is very common things for young couples to exchange Christmas gifts. Most of the people spend Christmas with their families. Children believe that Santa Claus is alive. In my family's case, we always go to a rich restaurant to each French or Italian cuisines. My husband buy gifts to my daughter and me for every Christmas. This year he bought us new cell phones.
This Christmas is our first Christmas after we transferred to here. Therefore, I'm very excited.
