Since I was a child, I've loved this song. The song is very popular among Japanese people. However, I haven't tried to listen to the lyrics before. In my case, when I listen to music in English, the most significant factor is that the sound of music sounds comfortable to me or not. Therefore, even if the lyrics sounds strange, I don't care about it.
However, recently since I've been improving my listening skills, when I listened to the song after a while, I came to realize that how wonderful the lyrics are. I regretted why I didn't notice the great meaning of the lyrics.
I guess that in my life I've missed up lots of things, because I couldn't understand English. Even if I had a bunch of oppotunities to listen to English, I hadn't realized them. It is really miserable for me.
I have had many experiences to think what a wonderful world it is like this lyrics. When I met my husband at the first time, when he proposed me, when I got pregnant my daughter or when I gave a birth, I definitely thought what a wonderful world it is.
Now I'm very happy that I can understand the meaning of the lyrics. The song became a special song for me after I could understand them.
