My memory of the adult day

Today is an adult day in Japan. It is one of national holidays for us.
When we turn twenty years old, we are celebrated our age by parents, grandparents or relatives and so on.
And, it change regal things for us to drink alcohols, smoke cigarettes, vote in election and so on.
When I turned twenty years old, My grandparents were alive, and they celebrated my adult day.
My parents prepared a beautiful kimono for me and my grandparents and my parents had a big party for me.
Many relatives came to there, and I pigged out delicious foods.
Some of them gave me money for my celebration, and the others gave me some wonderful gifts.
I remember that one of my aunts gave me a brand's bag at that time.
I wanted to buy that bag so much, but it was too expensive to buy myself, because I was a university student.
Therefore, when I knew the gift was that bag, I jumped, and was glad so much.
My husband was my boyfriend at that time, and he also celebrated my adult day. He took me a very nice restaurant, and we had a good dinner together.
I also had a party with my friends turned twenty years old. Although I can't drink alcohols and smoke, many of us drunk, smoked and sang songs at Karaoke bar.
My youth's memory is sparkling yet in my mind, even though the time passed away long time ago.
I got married with my boyfriend, and became a mother of a daughter 14 years old.
Six years later, my daughter will turn twenty years old, and will wear my kimono that I wore my adult day.

You have a very good memory on this day. Good. BTW my daughter is now the second grade in Junior high.^^ How amazing only several years from now, our daughters will celebrate the coming-of-age day...However, it's kind of scary to imagine what I will be doing then...^^;

That celebration sounds really interesting, but those days are always painful to remember because you think you can't have them again ever again. =/

I'm history about the celemory.
I don't know what I had done at the coming-of-age day three decay before.
Because I had a hangover the day.

本当につい先日自分の成人式を祝ってもらったような気がするのですが、もうはるか昔、忘却の彼方なのですよね・・・・・・。
あと数年で娘が成人するのかと思うと、恐ろしくさえなります。
もう立派な成人のはずなのに、今なお子供のままの私っていったい・・・・・・？！
