I wonder if the following sentence makes sense.
1. You are as pretty as you look happy!!
-- situation--
I recieved a picture of my female friend.
I said you look happy!!
She said that only happy, amn't I pretty??
so I said you are as pretty as you look happy!!

写真をもらった時点で「幸せそう」と言ったため、彼女があまりかわいくないので、美しさについての言及を避けた、と解釈されてしまったのですね。友達に女の子を紹介されて、She looks, well, ... nice. というのもあまりかわいくないという意味になってしまいます。
その状況なら彼女は理解してくれたことでしょう。でも疑い深い彼女なら、as は同程度という意味ですから、「幸せに見えるのと同じぐらいしかかわいくない」という解釈も可能でちょっと危険です。
素直にYou are very prettyといってあげるのが一番ですよ（あまりかわいくなくて言いたくないなら別ですが）。I was too shy to say so.と付け加えれば好感度アップでしょう！
