I'm sad

I have crayfish as pets for about 6 months. I got them in the river near my house. I have three in a tank. They are looks same, but their characters are very individual. I named them after their characters. The biggest crayfish in the tank is called “くいしんぼう“ which means a big eater, because he love eating and bite foods immediately when I feed. Another one is called “ひっきー“ which means stay-at –home, because he hide very small space between stones. The last one is called “てなし“ which means no hand, because he lost his right claw when he fought with other crayfish. They are funny.

During the winter, they were relatively quiet, but recently spring is coming and they move actively. And accidents were suddenly happened. Two of the crayfish died. “ひっきー“escaped from a tank and he was dried up. The next day, another crayfish “くいしんぼう“tried to shed the skin but he failed it. A shedding their skin is difficult, especially for big crayfish. Now, only“てなし“is alive. It is because he doesn’t move actively. Hmm, Active is not good…?

Oh wow! I'm sorry to hear about your two dead crayfish. My frog, which I had for two years, died about 4 months ago. I would feeding before heading out to school every morning, this was because his tank was in plain sight by my front door. This way I would always remember to feed him. My grandmother one day put his tank in a different spot where I could not see him...it was during Midterms so my mind was all over the place. Two weeks later I remember I had not fed my frog, but when I found him he was already dead :((((

  • Hmm, Active is not good…?
  • Hmmmm.... Maybe being active isn't such a good thing after all.

Maybe XX isn't such a good thing (after all).

Actually, XX isn't such a good thing.

Oh, those are sad news. You feel bad when an animal that you rescued or you find dies, it has happened to me twice I think.

Hi Pandamilk,
Thank you for correcting my English.
I'm sorry to hear about your frog.
Another crayfish is too quiet to eat, so I worry about him. When it become worm, I want to catch crayfish again.

Hi GRSCEric,
What did you have as your pets?
We enjoy our pets when they are fine, but we feel sad when they die, don't we?
