Rock climbing!

I went to a rock climbing gym with my friend. I did not know that there is such a kind of gym. I never heard it in Japan. Is it popular in the US? Have you ever try it?
It was my first time to do a rock climbing. My friend invited me and I was willing to do it. I like to try new things. When I entered the gym, I was astound. There were huge walls in front of my eyes. I was excited, but also nervous. Can I really do it??

I had to take a training session by the staff. It took for about an hour. I learned many safety issues like how to tie the ropes and how to hold the ropes when a partner was climbing. It was quite confusing for me. But it was important for avoiding to drop my friend from high place of the wall, lol.

Finally, I was allowed to climb the wall. I had had no idea how high I would be able to climb up. But it was easier than I thought. I climbed to the top of the wall! it was beginners course, though. I was so excited. I saw my friend on the floor. I was a bit scared. I realized how high it was. I did it!

I was tired and I had a pain in my arms after climbing just two times...
I had a really good experience and it was a lot of fun. I want to do it again. And I want to keep trying new things. That's great!

Supposedly there is one in my area, but I haven't checked it out yet.

I'll probably get really tired really fast. -_-;

Sometimes when I go hiking I see people doing rock climbing in real life. That looks real scary =O

Hey Mizuho,
I'm glad to hear you're trying out new things and having new adventures. :) I'm so proud of you! It sounds like it was a lot of fun. Have you gone back at all since then? What other new things have you tried? Be sure to keep us posted!

Hi 詠美!
I haven't done again since then. Once I tried it, but it was so crowded that I gave up. But I'm planing to go back there soon.
As for other new things, I started Salsa and contra dance. They are a lot of fun!!!
Yeah, I should write posts. Thanks for your comments!
