Young people have different ideas and attitudes from their parents and grandparents.
What are these differences?
What problems may be caused?
There is sometimes a struggle between parents and their children, because parents will always see their children as that - children. The children, on the other hand, will tend to want to be free, independent, to live their own lives, and make their own choices. The parents have many years of life experience behind them, and want to impart this knowledge on their children, but the child does not always want to hear.
These differences can lead to a strained relationship between young people and their parents, but in general this rift is repaired as the young people become fully-fledged adults themselves. They are then better able to understand the care and attention they were receiving from their guardians - especially when they have children of their own.
