The Rice Planting Is Held

My grandchild in the primary school performs rice planting today.
小学生の孫は今日田植えを行います。
It seems to be held as one of the school event.
学校行事の一つとして行うそうである。
It is to plant the young plants in the muddy field.
それは、苗をたんぼに植えることである。
The work is hard.
大変な仕事です。

The Emperor does it every year, too.
天皇陛下も毎年行っています。
In other words she can experience a Japanese special event.
言い換えると彼女は日本の特別行事を体験できます。

Rice grows in autumn and is harvested.
米は秋に実り収穫されます。
And then students ate the curry rice last year.
そして学生は去年カレーライスを食べました。
What dish will they eat this year?
今年はどんな物を食べるのであろうか。
