I came to Las Vegas for my business.
The last time was 17 years ago.
I was surprised with the scale of this artificial city again.
Of course I knew well about the latest news of Las Vegas, because this city is one of the most popular tourist destinations.
I happened to stay alone at a sweet room in one of the most luxury new hotels. The room is huge and furnished with designable furniture and the latest AV. The illumination view from the big window occupying on one wall is tremendous.
It's a good business experience for me who can not afford to stay at this expensive hotel in private but have to sell them to a rich customer.

The last time I was here was 17 years ago.
I happened to stay alone at a suite room in one of the most luxurious new hotels.
The room is huge and furnished with designer furniture and the latest AV equipment.
I prefer culture accumulated for long time and nature beyond human.
To be honest Las Vegas is not my personal destination to travel.
However I admire American power to create this huge entertainment city.
When I arrived in Vegas I was instantly surprised how thouroughly and completely fake it is. I hate things that are fake. But Vegas does fake in such a grand, unbelievable way, it becomes interesting on its own. Whenever something is so extreme, it sort becomes interesting not for what it is doing, but because it is so extreme. That's how I felt about that city. It's so extremely fake, that the extreme nature of it becomes interesting, in spite of being fake. I never stopped hating the fakeness of it though. And I still do.
The other thing that was interesting to me is how depressing it is. Despite all the glitz and entertainment everywhere, it's all driven by gambling. In gambling, in English, they say, "The house always wins", meaning, the casino always wins and always makes money. Which is true, of course. Logically, that means the people, the customers, are always losing. And when people are losing, they are not happy. That's why Vegas is depressing, in my opinion.
