Long Drive to Las Vegas

I came back from business trip to Las Vegas.
It took five hours by car.
I don’t like driving.
It was boring to drive a just straight long way in the desert with the same scenery for a long time.
However I don’t have a good alternative.
The flight time from Lax to Las Vegas is shorter than driving time.
However I have to count the time to transport between home and the airport, follow a long line for the security check, wait for a boading time at the gate and so on.
Total time of flight from Lax to Las should be almost the same as driving.
Furthermore I have to count the cost for not only flight fare but also parking fee at Lax airport and transportation fare like a taxi in Las Vegas.
I will go to Las Vegas in October.
I wonder which is better, flight or drive.

I just came back from a business trip to Las Vegas.
It took five hours by car, and I don't like driving.
I don’t like driving.
It was boring to just drive on a straight, long, road in the middle of the desert, with the same boring scenery for a long time. ***I think it sounds better with more adjectives.
However, I didn't have a better alternative.
The flight time from Lax to Las Vegas was shorter than the driving time.
However, I have to count the time it would have taken me drive to the airport, follow a long line for the security check, wait to board at the gate and so on.
Taking that into account, the total time of the flight from Lax to Las Vegas would've/have been almost the same as driving.
Furthermore, I have to count the cost for not only the flight fare, but also the parking fee at Lax airport and the transportation fare in Las Vegas.
