Detours You Made
Would you mind correcting these sentences, and giving me other possible expressions if you think of any?
(Suppose a counselor is trying to encourage his patient.)
(A) I guess you've failed many times. However, detours you made have brought you nearer to your dream.
(B) I guess you've failed many times. However, the more detours you made, the more you've advanced before you know it.

I would say... "However, detours you have made have brought you nearer to your dream.)
However, the more detours you made make, the more you've advanced before you know it. The more you advance before you know it.
I guess you feel that some of the things you've tried to do have been unsuccessful. However, what you learned from those attempts has brought you closer to realizing your dreams.
"The more detours you make, the more you advance" is also very implausible; I think very few people would agree with this statement. Some detours may result in progress, but certainly one is not guaranteed additional progress by each detour one makes.
I'm sorry for my careless supposition.
Then, if these sentences are a part of song lyrics, what do you think of the plausibleness of them?
