(A) These days, we see people from other countries do various jobs around here.
(B) These days, we see people from other countries do different jobs around here.
(C) These days, we see people from other countries do a lot of different jobs around here.

Which do you think sound(s) natural in this situation?

(A) and (C) are more clear than (B).
(B) could mean the same thing as (A) and (C), but it could also mean "jobs different from what they normally do". It isn't a serious ambiguity, but (A) and (C) are better choices because of this.

The point is that "various jobs" (or "a variety of jobs") means "jobs which differ from each other", and "a lot of different jobs" usually means this (although a context can be constructed in which it means something different). However, the phrase "different jobs" leaves open what the jobs are different from; being different from each other is only one of many possibilities.

"Various" and "a lot of different" is equal to「さまざまな、いろいろな」in Japanese but of my dictionaries also define one of the meaning of "different" as this, too.
Your explanations made it clear to me how to use this type of "different".
Thank you so much!!
